Dr. Wendi Momen, MBE Chairing the discussion panel)

Wendi Momen holds a BSc in Economics and a Ph.D. in International Relations, both from the London School of Economics. She was awarded the M.B.E. on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II, “in honour of her work on gender equality and empowerment of women”.

She is the Chair of the Governing Board of EBBF (Ethical Business Building the Future).

Dr. Arthur Dahl

Arthur Dahl is President of the International Environment Forum, and a retired Deputy Assistant Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), with 40 years’ experience in sustainable development. He has recently been consultant to the World Bank on indicators of development, Senior Advisor to a project on values-based indicators of education for sustainable development, and Co-coordinator of the UNEP Major Groups & Stakeholders Advisory Group on International Environmental Governance.

Dr. Hamad Al-Hasawi

Dr. Hamad Al-Hasawi is currently holds the position of Secretary General at Kuwait Banking Association. From 2003 to 2011, he was head of financial services at Rasameel Structured Finance, Commercialization Senior Advisor at Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, Chief Operating Officer at Gulf Holding Company in Bahrain and Senior Vice President at KIPCO Asset Management. Before that, he was Vice President at Gulf Investment Corporation and adviser to the Ministry of Defense. In addition, Dr. Al-Hasawi has been recently visiting Professor to the American University of Kuwait and the Australian College of Kuwait. He holds a PhD in Management and Organization from the University of Stirling, UK. He received an MSc in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Kuwait University and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton, USA.

Bayan Salmanpour

Bayan is a Kuwaiti who is passionately in love with his country. He believes in giving back to and doing good for the community.  Bayan’s ultimate goal is to make an active contribution towards building a better world for the future generations. He accumulates over 35 years of experience in the fields of: computer programming, banking, foreign exchange, teaching in futures, wholesale/retail business, TV broadcast services, special FX, animation, management in the public and private sector companies, and setting up startups.
With Human Empowerment C & E, he plans to offer creative, new, and proven methods to success, as well as utilizing leading expertise from leaders in their respective fields, to help bring about success in an appropriate manner.
